Been doing some reading about William Blake on this fine morning. A man with such strange and interesting ideas. I had the pleasure of viewing his painting, The Nativity, at the Philadelphia Museum of Art a couple of weeks ago. It was a wonderful surprise. I would especially love to see more of his work in the future. I know that a lot of it is kept in Old London Town, so….yet another bullet to add to the long list of reasons to visit there one fine day. I’m just going to throw some of my other favorites on to this here post, as well :)

Cheers

So, my incredibly talented roommate was experimenting with making a Tardis necklace, and this is what came out of it! She is selling it for a discounted price on her Etsy shop! And there are a couple of other awesome Doctor Who related pieces when you go check it out ;) Enjoy, Whovians!

A Walk Through Art History

I designed these shoes with a unique goal in mind: to create a shoe as a summation of an entire culture’s art. Each shoe possesses design qualities, color palettes, and designs only found in the respective culture. This project allowed me to investigate art historical cultures in a special way by challenging myself to translate an entire style (or series of styles) onto a single object.

Conveniently, I was able to use these designs as the concentration section of my AP Studio Art portfolio and received a score of a 5!

I possess full federal copyright of these designs.

So neat!!
